On November 13, the City of Lomita welcomed residents, community partners and elected officials to its Annual State of the City Address, celebrating a year of progress while looking ahead to priorities for 2026. The luncheon created space for meaningful connection and discussion centered on Lomita’s continued growth, infrastructure and quality of life.
Hosted in partnership with the Lomita Chamber of Commerce, the event showcased the City’s latest initiatives, projects and programs shaping the community. Mayor Mark Waronek and City Manager Andrew Vialapando shared key accomplishments from the past year and outlined future priorities focused on economic vitality, community well-being and long-term investment.
The City extends its gratitude the Lomita Chamber of Commerce for hosting the event and to the many partners who helped make the address a success, including Athens Services, California Water Service, Transtech, Willdan Engineering, Southern California Edison, Thompson Building Materials, Tripepi Smith, Water Replenishment District, Best Best & Kreger, Lan Wan Enterprise, Kaia, South Bay Workforce Investment Board, Koven Video Productions, Sprinkles N’ Stuff, South Bay Credit Union, Coastal Funeral Center, Harry’s Barbeque and Floral 101.
