Community Safety Division
The City of Lomita’s Community Safety Division, administered by the City Manager’s Office, is dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all residents, businesses and visitors. Through various public safety initiatives — such as the CSOs’ proactive patrols throughout parks, business corridors and neighborhoods — along with neighborhood outreach, education and effective code enforcement, we strive to enhance the quality of life in our community. We prioritize safety and encourage collaboration between residents, City staff and local deputies, fostering a shared sense of responsibility to maintain the safety of our neighborhoods.

Led by two City staff members from the City Manager’s Department, the Community Safety Division aims to provide personalized service to meet the unique needs of each neighborhood in Lomita. Community Safety Manager William Lawson, Community Safety Supervisor John Campos and their dedicated team are committed to fostering active engagement between residents, businesses, City staff and law enforcement to increase safety across our community.
