The Parks and Recreation Commission consist of five members appointed by City Council. The duties and responsibilities of the Commission are to act in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to recreation and parks. The Commission is also responsible for matters relative to street trees within the City. The Parks and Recreation Division serves as staff to the Commission. The duties and responsibilities of the Parks and  Recreation Commission are governed by Lomita Municipal Code Chapter 10, Title I.
