Lomita continued its 60th anniversary celebration with its annual Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony in Downtown Lomita on December 6, bringing the community together for a magical evening of holiday cheer. The celebration included numerous added attractions, drawing the City’s largest ever Tree Lighting crowd.

The celebration included the closure of Narbonne Avenue to allow for more space and a larger celebration, additional craft and food vendors, sledding on real snow and an extraordinary light display adorning the Lomita Holiday Tree.

“The annual HolidayTree Lighting is a cherished tradition that brings our community together to celebrate the spirit of the season,” said outgoing Mayor Bill Uphoff. “This year’s event was special in light of our 60th anniversary and enhanced displays.”

The evening’s success highlighted Lomita’s community spirit and the joy of coming together to celebrate the season. Lomita residents created lasting memories and reinforced the cherished tradition of the Holiday Tree Lighting as a cornerstone of the City’s holiday celebrations.
