What is SolarAPP+?
SolarAPP+ (Solar Automated Permit Processing Plus) is an automated online permitting platform that allows licensed contractors to apply for permits for standard residential rooftop solar and energy storage systems. The platform automates solar plan review while performing comprehensive code-compliance checks to ensure compliance with the current California Building Standards Code and local regulations.

How to apply using SolarAPP+
Step 1: Submit for Automated Review Through SolarAPP+
- Go to the SolarAPP+ website.
- Click Sign In or Register to get started.
- Contractor license information is required to complete this step.
- The City of Lomita permit fees plus a processing fee from SolarAPP+ will be charged.
- Download the SolarAPP+ approval documents.
Step 2: Apply for Permit
- Email BuildingSafety@LomitaCity.com with the following information:
- Subject: SolarAPP+ Approval ID: [SAXXXXXXXX-X-X-X]
- Body: Attach the SolarAPP+ approval documents from Step 1 and include any additional information regarding your project.
SolarAPP+ Revision
- SolarAPP+ revisions are handled exclusively through the SolarAPP+ portal.
