The City of Lomita is pleased to announce the release of its newly updated map! Designed to serve residents, businesses, and visitors alike, this comprehensive map highlights key landmarks and provides clear details on street jurisdictions, enhancing accessibility and transparency.
Key landmarks featured on the map include essential city services such as City Hall, the Post Office, the Sheriff’s Station, the Lomita Railroad Museum and the Fire Station. Additionally, all of Lomita’s parks are prominently labeled, making it easier for community members to explore and enjoy these cherished recreational spaces.
Beyond identifying landmarks, the updated map offers valuable insights into street jurisdictions. It clearly delineates which streets are maintained by the City of Lomita, which fall under Caltrans’ responsibility, and which are privately owned. Notably, major roadways such as Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) and Western Avenue are managed by Caltrans rather than the City.
The City of Lomita hopes this updated map serves as a valuable resource fostering greater awareness and understanding of the community’s infrastructure and its ongoing maintenance.
