The City of Lomita is proud to offer the Lomita Military Banner Program to honor current and former residents of Lomita who have served or are currently serving our country in the United States Military.
This program was created to recognize the brave men and women of Lomita who currently serve or have served in the Armed Forces. The Lomita Military Banner Program offers an opportunity to honor loved ones with a street banner displaying their name, military picture and branch of service. Banners will be designed, printed and installed on street lamps on Lomita Blvd. They are double-sided with the same design on both sides and are approximately 30 inches wide by 70 inches tall. Banners will be displayed for a minimum of one year.

A special thank you goes out to Brandon Kamada from Scouts BSA Troop 242 for creating the Lomita Military Banner Program in 2021. As part of his Eagle Scout Project, Brandon was responsible for creating and designing the banner and implementing the inaugural program. Through fundraising and community participation, he was able to produce the first 26 banners that were proudly displayed on Lomita Blvd.
