In a continued effort to shape Lomita’s future, the City Council met with City staff to develop goals for the City to pursue in the year ahead. During the strategic planning workshop, City leaders identified six strategic outcomes designed to foster a safe, connected and resilient Lomita.

With a forward-thinking approach, the City Council reaffirmed its commitment to keeping Lomita safe, prepared and resilient; supporting local business and thriving neighborhoods; building trust through open, inclusive communication; creating vibrant spaces and services for all ages; investing in reliable, sustainable infrastructure; and strengthening City services through innovation and excellence.

“These goals represent more than just a plan — they reflect our shared vision for Lomita’s future,” said City Manager Andrew Vialpando. “We are committed to building a community that is safe, vibrant and innovative. These priorities help ensure we remain focused on what matters most to our residents.”

These strategic outcomes will guide Lomita’s efforts throughout the 2025–26 fiscal year and beyond, serving as a roadmap for decision-making and long-term success. City leaders remain dedicated to delivering measurable results, strengthening partnerships and ensuring that Lomita continues to be a place where people and businesses thrive.
