In recent years, the City has seen an increase in the use of illegal fireworks, especially leading up to the July 4th celebrations, that negatively impact the health, safety and welfare of residents in Lomita. The Lomita Sheriff’s Station and Lomita Code Enforcement team will be working together to continue addressing the anticipated calls for service related to illegal fireworks usage as we near the Independence Day holiday as well as after the holiday.
