The City of Lomita is excited to announce upcoming improvements to the playgrounds at Lomita Park! As of today, Oct. 8, both playground areas will be temporarily closed for renovation as part of the City’s ongoing commitment to maintaining safe, fun and accessible outdoor spaces for the community.
During this time, City staff will be working to upgrade equipment and improve the overall play experience for children and families. These enhancements are designed to ensure that Lomita Park continues to be a welcoming and enjoyable destination for all ages.
While the playgrounds will be closed during construction, the rest of Lomita Park will remain open during regular hours. The playground is planning to reopen in 2026. We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we complete these important upgrades.
