These Updates from the City Manager are designed to keep Lomita residents informed about the City’s ongoing projects, programs and priorities. These updates provide timely information on community improvements, public safety efforts and infrastructure investments, along with highlights of recent accomplishments and what’s coming next.
Published every two weeks, the Updates from the City Manager aim to offer transparency into City operations and ensure residents stay connected to how Lomita is working to enhance the quality of life across the community.
Dear Lomita Residents,
From a fresh new look for our community newsletter to exciting progress on local projects, the City of Lomita is proud to share its latest updates.
Lomitian Quarterly: “The Friendly City” Newsletter
After a year of exploring design improvements, the City is excited to introduce a refreshed look and new name for its quarterly newsletter — Lomitian Quarterly: “The Friendly City.”
The updated design offers a cleaner layout and a more reader-friendly format. This edition also introduces a new recurring feature, “A Message From Your City Council,” which will appear at the beginning of each issue to provide insights and updates directly from our City Council Members. All Lomita addresses will receive a copy of the newsletter in their mailboxes by early May.
Narbonne South Water Main Replacement & Street Reconstruction Project
The Narbonne South Water Main Replacement & Street Reconstruction Project is nearing completion. Lane striping is scheduled to begin the week of April 20 and will include a new lane configuration designed to improve traffic flow and safety. For more information on this project, please visit our roadwork webpage.
Measure LW Community Presentation
As part of ongoing community outreach, the City has been providing public information presentations on Measure LW. The slide deck used during these presentations is available on our elections webpage for residents who would like to learn more.
